At sixteen, she completed the R.A.D. syllabus and was a semi-finalist at the Adeline Genie Awards in London. She trained at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School. Her first engagement was with Ballett Schindowski at the Musiktheater im Revier.
From 2003 to 2013, Andrea worked as a freelance dancer and musical theatre performer, with highlights including performances in Barrie Kosky’s *Kiss Me, Kate* and *Orpheus* at the Komische Oper Berlin (choreographed by Otto Pichler, in 2010 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin), as well as in David McVicar’s *Faust* (choreographed by Michael Keegan-Dolan) at the Royal Opera House, performed at Opéra de Lille and Teatro Verdi Trieste. She also developed site-specific choreography for Maja Classen’s award-winning documentaries *Truth or Dare* and *A Body Like Mine*—the latter broadcast on 3SAT and available in the media library.
Between 2016 and 2020, Andrea served as a guest lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts for Performing Arts (Musical/Show Dance) and was a faculty member at the Berlin Opera Academy, where, alongside Gidon Saks, she staged productions of *Carmen*, *Ariadne auf Naxos*, and *The Magic Flute* with students.
